Colonel TINA L. LIPSCOMB

Colonel Tina L. Lipscomb is the Vice Commander, 189th Airlift Wing, Arkansas Air National Guard, Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. As vice commander, Col. Lipscomb advises the commander in directing the combined efforts of all operations and support activities of the wing. She provides direction to wing leaders regarding combat-ready aircrew training, cyberspace operations, deployment readiness, and domestic emergency response. Col. Lipscomb is responsible for the readiness, training and safety of 1,100 Airmen across wing staff, four groups and 11 squadrons.  Col. Lipscomb works in concert with the 19th Airlift Wing (AMC), the 314th Airlift Wing (AETC) and 913th Airlift Group (AFRC).

Col. Lipscomb enlisted in the Arkansas Army National Guard in 1988, before transferring to the 188th Fighter Wing in 1991 as an Information Management Specialist. She received her commission in1998 and served as the Unit Intelligence Officer for seven years as a reservist before returning to the 188th Fighter Wing in 2007. In 2009, Col. Lipscomb moved to the 189th Airlift Wing as the Budget Officer and was then reassigned to the intelligence mission. In 2015, she was appointed Deputy Director of Staff at Joint Force Headquarters, Arkansas National Guard. Col. Lipscomb supported Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and Inherent Resolve.

Prior to her current position, Col. Lipscomb served as the 189th Mission Support Group Commander, 189th Airlift Wing, Arkansas Air National Guard, Arkansas.
