Airmen assigned to the 189th Maintenance Group performed temporary duty in Antarctica in support of the 109th Airlift Wing and the Department of Defense's Operation Deep Freeze initiative. The crew prepared and maintained the 109th AW's C-130J "Snowbirds" and assisted with supply transports and medical evacuation readiness.
